What does FindHousingNow do?
We help housing seekers and referring professionals organize a request, discuss possible housing matches, and understand the provider’s application and move-in process.
Where can I request housing?
We accept housing inquiries from across the United States. Share your preferred city and state so we can review available options. Our currently featured homes—Fargo Ave., Alexander Hamilton Dr., and Round Table Dr.—are in San Antonio, Texas. A nationwide inquiry does not guarantee availability in every market.
What is independent shared living?
Residents rent a private bedroom or space in a shared bedroom and use common household areas. Room setup, house expectations, and included services vary by home.
Costs before move-in
Our published information lists a $150 nonrefundable administrative processing fee plus the first month’s rent. Ask us to confirm whether this applies to your specific home and payment program, and request all deposits and fees in writing before paying.
Rental agreement
Month-to-month agreements are listed for shared housing. Confirm the actual term and any biweekly, monthly, or annual rate arrangement for the option being considered.
Screening & documents
Requirements vary by home. Identification, income or approved assistance, and any required screening are handled through the home’s application process after the initial inquiry.
Home support & community
Ask about the home’s operations contact, after-hours availability, community activities, keyless entry, and camera disclosures. Confirm these arrangements for the specific home.
Are rooms furnished and utilities included?
Our shared-housing information includes furnished bedrooms and common areas, kitchen access, on-site laundry, Wi-Fi, and utilities. Confirm the exact inclusions for your chosen home. Bedrooms include a bed, side table, and lamp; linens and towels are available upon request where offered.
Do you provide food or care?
Housing placement support only. We do not provide medical treatment, personal care, medication assistance, supervision, meals, transportation, or case management. Residents arrange their own food.
Can an agency or program help pay?
We welcome inquiries involving self-pay, family or sponsor support, agency assistance, employer-funded housing, Housing Choice Vouchers, HUD-VASH, SSVF, Rapid Re-Housing, and other program-supported arrangements. Tell us which pathway applies; the payer and specific property must confirm the requirements. A referral alone is not a payment authorization.
Can I request a whole home?
Yes. Describe your household or temporary-housing need. Whole-home requests are reviewed separately; we do not place unrelated shared-room residents into a private household booking.
Does submitting a request guarantee placement?
No. A request does not reserve a room or establish approval. The provider must confirm the opening, requirements, application decision, written terms, and any payment authorization.
Can I request a housing accommodation?
Yes. Contact us about the housing feature or accommodation you need. We will discuss the appropriate next step without asking for unnecessary medical information in this public form.
Can I communicate in Spanish?
Yes. Use the Spanish website or select Spanish as your preferred response language.
